Singlife Data Protection Notice for Recruitment

This Statement should be read in conjunction with the Singlife Data Protection Notice.

Purpose of Collection

The personal data you provide in your curriculum vitae and job application will be collected, used, and processed by or on behalf of Singapore Life Holdings Pte. Ltd., Singapore Life Ltd., Singlife Financial Advisers Pte. Ltd., Navigator Investment Services Limited, and Singlife Propel Pte. Ltd. and any other company within the Singlife group of companies (referred to collectively as “Singlife”) for purposes related to:

• Your registration of interest in current or future employment with Singlife

• Processing and evaluating your job application

• Communicating with you regarding job opportunities

   

Your Responsibility

By submitting your application, you:

• declare that the personal data you provide is correct, true and complete; and

• consent to the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of your personal data for the recruitment and employment-related purposes described here.

   

To maximise your opportunities for employment with Singlife, you are encouraged to keep the information provided to us up to date.

Additional Sources

Singlife may also collect information from other sources, such as reference checks, in accordance with applicable laws, to assess your suitability for employment. For any personal data of referees that you provide to Singlife, you undertake that you have obtained the consent of the referees to allow you to disclose the referee’s personal data to Singlife and for Singlife to collect, use, process, disclose and transfer the referee’s personal data for the purposes set out in this Notice.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

Your personal data, including contact details, may be disclosed or transferred:

• Within departments in Singlife

• To relevant government agencies, regulators and other authorities where required by law

• To third-party service providers (located in or outside Singapore), which are contractually bound to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality obligations and only process your personal data as instructed by Singlife.

   

Consequences of Withdrawing your Consent to the Collection, Use, Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data

You may withdraw your consent for Singlife to collect, use, disclose and transfer your personal data by giving us reasonable notice so long as there are no legal or contractual restrictions preventing you from doing so. If you withdraw your consent, this will affect our ability to process your application or manage the employment relationship and may result in the inability to proceed with your application or withdrawal of any offer of employment made to you.
